COLOURED STATIC PRESS / THE SIGNAL DROP
Giveaway not yet open. This notice explains how we intend to handle personal information if the ORBIT: Bingo Roguelite free prize draw receives final approval and opens on 7 November 2026. We are not accepting entries on this page.
Who is responsible?
Coloured Static Press, an independent UK-based games and technology publication operated by Andrew Bandy, is the controller of information collected for this giveaway. Privacy enquiries: info@colouredstaticpress.com. General information: our main Privacy Policy.
What we will collect
If the draw opens, the dedicated entry form will request the entrant’s name, email address, confirmation of being at least 18 and resident in the United Kingdom, and acceptance of the competition rules. The site may also process limited technical data to prevent automated or duplicate entries and to maintain security. Please do not send ID documents, payment details or sensitive personal information with an entry.
Why we use it
- Verify eligibility, enforce one entry per person and administer a fair, random draw.
- Contact the two selected winners, privately deliver authorised Steam redemption keys and resolve reasonable prize-delivery queries.
- Keep a proportionate record of draw integrity, prevent abuse and respond to privacy, legal or genuine dispute enquiries.
We expect to rely on legitimate interests in administering a fair, fraud-resistant free community prize draw, and where applicable on steps necessary to deliver a prize and comply with legal obligations. We do not use giveaway entry as consent to unrelated email marketing, and joining the draw will not subscribe anyone to a newsletter.
Who sees the information?
Access will be limited to the Coloured Static Press organiser and necessary service providers, such as the website host, secure form provider (if used) and email provider. We intend to deliver Steam keys directly to winners, without sharing other entrants’ details with game developers. We will identify the actual form service on the live entry page before it opens. Steam’s own terms and privacy notice govern winners’ use of Steam.
Retention and security
We intend to delete unsuccessful entrants’ identifying information within 90 days after prize fulfilment, and winners’ fulfilment records within 90 days after prize fulfilment, unless a documented dispute or legal requirement justifies keeping the minimum necessary records for longer. Ordinary email/security logs and backups may follow the providers’ separate retention cycles, as explained in our main policy. Entries must be submitted through the official form when available, not by replying to an email or posting personal information on social media.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to relevant processing or raise a concern by emailing info@colouredstaticpress.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Requests may require enough information to verify that the details belong to you.
