Everlast: Undying Tale Enters Steam Early Access With 100-Player Servers and Solo Adventures

Everlast Undying Tale official gameplay: adventurers in a colourful forest garden, InSpades

Everlast: Undying Tale has entered Early Access on Steam today, 28 October 2026. Independent developer InSpades is pitching its fantasy action-RPG as an MMO-lite that lets players choose how social they want their adventure to be: alone, in a private group, or on shared servers supporting up to 100 players. The studio has also advertised a 20% launch discount; check the Steam storefront for current UK pricing and when the offer ends.

A story about life, death and another chance

The adventure takes place in Sarkis, a fantastical open world struggling with an undead uprising. Resurrected under mysterious circumstances, players must gather, explore and fight their way through quests involving townspeople, monsters and strange magical discoveries.

The developer describes a range of biomes, including the capital Kal Crossing and the Southern Swamps, designed for players who prefer wandering off the main route as well as those pursuing a more structured narrative.

Skills, crafting and shared world events

Players can progress skills including woodworking, occultism and fishing, craft gear, gather resources and choose between weapons such as swords and crossbows or magical abilities. InSpades also describes shared dynamic events ranging from collective harvests to large battles, with participants contributing in different ways.

The flexibility between solo and public-server play is the distinguishing idea here. It’s not necessarily a conventional massively multiplayer game where everyone must group up to progress, but a world built to accommodate both collaborative and solitary exploration.

Early Access is a starting point

The game has just launched into Steam Early Access, so readers should expect systems and content to evolve. The ability for a server to host up to 100 players is a developer-stated capacity, not a concurrency or performance claim independently verified by Coloured Static Press. Likewise, we have not tested server stability or progression ourselves.

Find the game on Steam or visit the official Everlast website for future updates.
