FIRST SIGNAL / INDIE DISCOVERY / CO-OP SIMULATION
Some games ask you to save the world. Gopher It: Office Intern Simulator asks you to make sure somebody gets their coffee, the photocopier behaves and every colleague signs the birthday card before the big moment. If your first thought is that this sounds suspiciously close to an actual job, that’s rather the point.
Created by Lys Games, Gopher It puts you in the shoes of an office intern. When a colleague calls, you visit them, hear what needs doing and carry out the task. The checklist is deliberately ordinary: copies, post, drinks and all those little requests that keep a workplace moving.

No clock watching required
The studio says there are no time limits and no game-over state. In fact, the office clock only advances when you complete a task. It’s a design decision that changes the tone completely. Instead of turning the workplace into a productivity contest, it makes small-scale cooperation the activity itself.
And despite the four-player pitch, Lys Games explicitly confirms the entire game is playable alone. Online co-op is optional, not a requirement to make progress. Up to four people can help one another with the busywork, but nobody needs to recruit a full office team just to get started.

Three days to learn the ropes
The free Steam demo covers the opening three in-game days, including co-op, with save progress intended to carry into the full release. That’s a practical advantage for players curious about the premise but not yet sure whether their ideal evening involves delivering fictional internal mail.
There is a pleasing contrast between the increasingly elaborate simulated systems found in some management games and this more human-scale approach. The most important challenge may not be optimisation but listening to a colleague and doing the small thing they actually asked for.

Launch plans
