EPOMAKER EM3 Pairs a 56g Gaming Mouse with a Magnetic RGB Charging Dock

EPOMAKER has introduced the EM3, a lightweight wireless gaming mouse that arrives with an unusually prominent accessory: a magnetic RGB charging dock. Announced on 30 October 2026, the EM3 combines a carbon-fibre-reinforced composite shell with a familiar mid-range sensor and three ways to connect. The interesting question is whether that convenience-first package can stand out without chasing the industry’s most extravagant polling-rate numbers.

What does the EM3 offer?

EPOMAKER lists a weight of approximately 56g, with a PAW3315 optical sensor supporting sensitivity settings up to 16,000 DPI. Both the wired USB connection and the 2.4GHz wireless mode support up to 1,000Hz polling; the Bluetooth mode is rated at 125Hz. Those are the manufacturer’s specifications, not performance figures independently measured by Coloured Static Press.

The mouse supports wired, 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connections, which should make switching between a gaming PC and a work laptop more straightforward than on a single-mode mouse. A 600mAh battery is listed, along with claimed running times of around 50 hours with RGB switched on or 55 hours with it off. Actual battery life will depend on settings and use.

The magnetic dock is the differentiator

Rather than relying solely on a cable at the end of a session, the EM3 is designed to rest on a magnetic contact-charging base. The dock includes RGB lighting and a physical lighting control, so it doubles as a desk accessory. Whether that is genuinely more convenient than a conventional charging cable will depend on the stability of the contact, cable routing and how reliably the mouse aligns after everyday use. Those are precisely the sorts of details that require hands-on testing.

Why the 1,000Hz figure matters

Some current premium gaming mice market polling rates of several thousand hertz, but the EM3 takes a more conventional route. A 1,000Hz reporting rate translates to a nominal one-millisecond interval between reports. That does not establish total end-to-end latency or sensor accuracy, and it does not by itself make a mouse ‘fast’ or ‘slow’. Sensor behaviour, firmware, click response, wireless reliability and shape all matter when the product is actually used.

In other words, the EM3 appears more focused on delivering a light everyday gaming mouse with a tidy charging setup than on winning a spec-sheet arms race.

Price, colours and UK availability

EPOMAKER’s 30 October press announcement quotes a US direct-sale price of $35.99 and identifies black, silver and pink versions. However, its product landing page still displays prelaunch-style messaging, including a launch notification or reservation option. We therefore cannot yet confirm an accurate UK selling price, stock position or delivery date; readers should check the current product listing rather than assume the press announcement reflects UK availability.

For gamers putting together a compact setup, the combination of 56g weight, tri-mode connectivity and a bundled magnetic dock is certainly worth watching. We would want to test the clicks, shape, wireless stability and charging behaviour before recommending it over an established alternative.

Coverage status: This is an independent news report based on published manufacturer specifications and press materials. Coloured Static Press has not tested or reviewed the EM3, and no review score is assigned.
