Karate Survivor has received a new Xbox edition with Play Anywhere support, replacing the earlier Creators Edition and giving existing owners a free upgrade, according to publisher Alawar’s 28 October announcement.
The change matters most to players who move between console and PC. The new Xbox Store listing confirms Xbox Play Anywhere and support for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. Alawar says progress can carry between supported devices through cross-saves, while achievements are shared across the Xbox ecosystem. Anyone who already purchased the previous Creators Edition is promised the upgraded version at no additional charge.
What changes for Xbox players?
This is an ecosystem update, not the game’s first console launch. Karate Survivor originally arrived on PC in October 2024 and came to consoles in August 2025. The 28 October 2026 release is the replacement Xbox edition, with Play Anywhere support now explicitly shown on Microsoft’s store.
The game draws on the exaggerated martial-arts action of 1980s cinema, with a survivor-style structure built around chaining attacks and turning everyday objects into improvised weapons. The appeal of the upgrade is practical: players who own the eligible Xbox version should no longer need to maintain separate progress when switching between Xbox and the Microsoft Store PC edition.
Alawar has not presented this announcement as a new gameplay expansion. The publisher’s statement specifically highlights the edition replacement, save continuity, achievements and the existing-owner upgrade.
