Razer Reclusa Mini 65% Brings Magnetic Switches, Wireless Freedom and 8K Wired Polling

Razer has unveiled the Reclusa Mini 65%, a compact wireless gaming keyboard designed to bring Hall Effect magnetic switches and enthusiast-level customisation into the same package.

The new 65% model builds on September’s Reclusa X Mini 65%, but adds adjustable magnetic actuation, wireless connectivity and a more extensive set of competitive gaming controls. For players balancing fast-paced games with everyday typing, the interesting question is whether one keyboard can genuinely serve both purposes.

Magnetic switches, adjustable to the millimetre

Razer says its Hall Effect switches allow individual actuation points to be adjusted from 0.1mm to 4.0mm. A shallow setting can prioritise quick responses; a deeper one may help reduce unintended inputs. Rapid Trigger dynamically resets keys as they rise, while Snap Tap, Snap Flex and Dual-Keypress Priority offer further control over how simultaneous and repeated inputs are handled.

These are manufacturer-stated features, not performance results from our own testing. Their practical value, particularly across different games and typing workloads, is something we would want to investigate in a full Hardware Lab review.

Wireless flexibility, wired 8,000Hz polling

Connection options include 2.4GHz Razer HyperSpeed Wireless, Bluetooth pairing with up to three devices and USB-C wired operation. Razer specifies up to 8,000Hz polling in wired mode; that figure should not be mistaken for a claim about the wireless modes.

The keyboard also offers six onboard profiles and a multifunction dial for frequently adjusted settings, including volume and brightness.

Designed for the keyboard enthusiast

Hot-swappable magnetic switches are a central part of the Reclusa Mini 65%’s appeal. Razer includes a combined keycap and switch puller, while south-facing LEDs and doubleshot ABS keycaps support further personalisation. Per-key Razer Chroma RGB lighting is also included.

Internally, Razer describes an IXPE foam sheet, PPS plate, lubricated stabilisers and dual-layer silicone dampening, all intended to improve the keyboard’s sound and feel. Whether those choices produce a satisfying experience outside promotional material will require hands-on use.

UK price and availability

The official Razer UK store lists the Reclusa Mini 65% at £129.99, with a UK layout option. At the time of writing, the product page is marked Coming Soon, so a firm UK shipping date should not be assumed.

The Coloured Static Press perspective

What makes this announcement noteworthy is not any single headline number. Hall Effect actuation, wireless convenience and hot-swappable construction have different audiences, and Razer is trying to unite them in one compact design. We would particularly like to examine how its typing acoustics, switch tuning and real-world latency hold up alongside competitive gaming.

This article is based on Razer’s official announcement. Coloured Static Press has not yet tested the Reclusa Mini 65% and makes no hands-on performance claims.
