The ghosts of Victorian Ireland are reaching a new audience. The Séance of Blake Manor, the supernatural detective adventure from Spooky Doorway and publisher Raw Fury, is now available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as through Xbox Game Pass. The console editions launch today, 27 October 2026, a year after the game’s arrival on PC.
The timing is unusually fitting: the mystery unfolds shortly before All Hallows’ Eve, with guests gathering at an isolated Irish manor for a séance while one of their number is missing.
Who is Evelyn Deane, and what happened at Blake Manor?
Players take the role of private investigator Declan Ward, summoned to Blake Manor in 1897 to investigate the disappearance of Evelyn Deane. The guests and staff harbour their own motives, rumours and secrets, so solving the case means more than searching a haunted building for scattered clues.
Ward must question suspects, examine inconsistencies in their stories and piece together evidence in his journal. Every conversation may reveal a new connection, but the manor operates on a schedule of its own: actions move time forward, and being in the wrong place at the wrong moment can mean missing something important.
Irish folklore meets comic-book detective fiction
The game draws on Victorian spiritualism, Irish mythology and social tensions around class and religion. Its bold comic-book presentation, inspired by illustrated storytelling, gives the setting a look distinct from the more conventional photorealistic haunted-house game.
Spooky Doorway is also known for The Darkside Detective, another series built around supernatural mysteries and distinctly Irish humour. Here, the tone is more sombre and investigative, with a dynamic soundtrack that responds to locations and narrative developments.
