FIRST SIGNAL | HALLOWEEN DISCOVERY

There’s something especially unsettling about a family attraction after the crowds have vanished. Terrible Lizards takes that familiar idea to a roadside dinosaur attraction in 1992, when running out of petrol could mean losing your only route back to safety.
Welcome to Dalton’s Dinos
Developed by WDR Studios LLC, Terrible Lizards is a first-person horror parkour adventure set around Dalton’s Dinos, a once-popular Route 66 attraction. The staff have disappeared, a mysterious caller pleads for help locating a missing child, and the creatures stalking the grounds are anything but harmless museum pieces.
Movement is survival
Instead of relying solely on hiding, the game emphasises momentum. Sprinting, climbing, wall-running, sliding and jumping are survival tools as much as traversal mechanics. The combination of pursuit, difficult terrain and environmental storytelling promises a very different kind of dinosaur horror experience.
Why it caught our attention
The 1992 setting gives the premise an immediately recognisable sense of isolation: no mobile phone to summon help, no convenient escape, just a deserted attraction and the growing suspicion that something is following you. The blend of haunted-roadside nostalgia and fast-paced movement is precisely the kind of independent experiment we created First Signal to highlight.
Released on Steam on 29 October 2026, Terrible Lizards is also one of the five games included in our Halloween Signal Drop community giveaway. Its inclusion is promotional support, not a hands-on review or endorsement of its quality.
