The Fog is getting crowded this Halloween. Behaviour Interactive is marking Dead by Daylight‘s tenth anniversary with a packed October of Horror schedule, bringing fresh cosmetics, a returning seasonal event and a first public test of Terrifier‘s Art the Clown.
Art the Clown enters testing on 27 October
The headline attraction is Art the Clown, the silent slasher from the Terrifier films. His Public Test Build (PTB) begins on 27 October 2026, giving eligible players an early chance to try the new Killer before the chapter’s wider release. Importantly, 27 October is a test date, not the confirmed full release date. The chapter was previously announced for November.
It’s a striking fit for a game built on horror crossovers, but we’ll reserve judgement on his abilities and balance until gameplay details and hands-on impressions are available.
Ghost Face gets a Day of the Dead look
On 30 October, Ghost Face receives a new Día de los Muertos-inspired cosmetic as part of the November Days collection. It’s a particularly timely addition to the game’s Halloween wardrobe, alongside the Hallowed Blight looks revealed earlier this month.
Diablo has already invaded the Fog
The Diablo Collection is available now, introducing cosmetics inspired by Blizzard’s dark-fantasy series. The Artist takes on Lilith’s appearance, while The Nurse and The Dredge receive Mephisto and Belial-inspired outfits. Survivors David King, Zarina Kassir and Taurie Cain also get Barbarian, Sorcerer and Necromancer-themed looks respectively.
These are cosmetic outfits for existing characters, not an announcement that Diablo’s villains are joining the roster as separate playable Killers.
Haunted by Daylight continues into November
The seasonal Haunted by Daylight event is already underway and runs until 3 November, with event quests and rewards for players willing to brave another trip into the Fog.
Stranger Things returns on 5 November
There’s more beyond Halloween itself. Lights Out: Stranger Things is scheduled for 5–12 November, bringing a themed version of the limited-visibility mode. The announced Stranger Things-related content also keeps Netflix’s horror hit firmly in the game’s crossover conversation.
Our take: an anniversary built for horror fans
Few multiplayer games have managed to assemble such a wide-ranging horror roster. Between Art the Clown’s imminent test, Ghost Face’s new look and Diablo’s demonic cosmetics, Dead by Daylight has a particularly strong late-October lineup. For returning players, the seasonal event offers an immediate reason to jump back in. For newcomers, it’s worth checking which characters, chapters and outfits are included in any edition before buying.
