Whatever you do, stay out of the fog. Independent developer NALYCAN has confirmed that Netherwake is taking part in Steam Scream V, 26 October to 2 November 2026, putting its playable horror demo in front of a new wave of Halloween explorers.

One missing dog. One very wrong night.
An emergency broadcast warns everyone to stay indoors as an unnatural fog rolls in. Then your dog, Wolfie, runs into the forest. Following him means stepping into a first-person horror mystery involving hostile anomalies, abandoned facilities and unsettling discoveries beneath a mountain.
Netherwake is built around exploration, stealth and environmental puzzles. Players search for keys and fuses, restore power, navigate vents and corridors, and avoid creatures that may react to sound. The tension comes from what you cannot safely confront.

A missing dog. An unnatural fog. Something beneath the mountain.
A free demo you can play now
The free demo is already available on Steam. Its August Version 2.0 update added a performance and visual overhaul, controller support, improved menus and the voice of protagonist Henry, performed by Fletcher Woolley. Steam Scream gives curious players another reason to discover it.
The full game is listed separately on Steam. This is a First Signal discovery, not a hands-on review; we have not independently assessed the demo.
