OFFICIAL HALLOWEEN 2026 PRIZE DRAW RULES. Entries open Saturday 31 October at 12:00 GMT and close Monday 2 November at 20:00 GMT. These rules govern a free Halloween prize draw promoted across the Coloured Static Press website and social media, alongside our Saturday 31 October 2026 Twitch special. Entries are accepted only during the published entry window through the official website form. A published stream announcement does not itself create a valid entry.
Organiser and contact
The organiser is Coloured Static Press, an independent UK gaming and technology publication operated by Andrew Bandy. Contact press@colouredstaticpress.com. This is an independent community prize draw; it is not sponsored, operated or endorsed by Valve, Steam or Twitch. Supply of game codes does not influence independent reviews, scores or coverage.
Important dates
Planned event date: Saturday 31 October 2026 (UK, GMT). Entry opening time: Saturday 31 October 2026 at 12:00 GMT. Entry closing time: Monday 2 November 2026 at 20:00 GMT. Random draw: Thursday 5 November 2026 at 19:00 GMT. Stream start: Saturday 31 October 2026, 8:00pm GMT (UK time). These are the confirmed campaign dates. Any necessary changes will be explained clearly on the official event page and must not unfairly disadvantage entrants.
Who can enter
Eligibility: aged 18 or over, legally resident in the United Kingdom, with a Steam account able to redeem the relevant PC retail key. No purchase, donation, subscription, Twitch follow, Discord membership, comment, like, share or paid service is required. The organiser, people administering the draw and their immediate households are excluded. One free entry per person; duplicate, automated or fictitious entries may be removed after reasonable checks. Entrants must submit the official form during the announced entry window; participation in Twitch chat alone does not count.
Halloween horror prizes: four Steam PC retail keys for four different winners
EXCISA (Zooyos): two separate, expressly giveaway-authorised Steam PC retail keys for the full commercial release, one for each of two different winners. Zooyos has confirmed there are no geographical activation restrictions and the keys do not expire.
Graveyard Shift: A Sage’s Last Stand (MonkeyMan Games): two separate, expressly giveaway-authorised standard commercial Steam retail keys for the game’s Early Access release, one for each of two different winners. Developer Jonathan Cerrato has confirmed the keys are worldwide with no regional restrictions, are not review/beta/demo/developer keys, and provide access to the current Early Access version and the subsequent version 1.0 when it releases. This prize is an Early Access game, not a completed 1.0 release; its features, availability and release plans may change as development continues.
Total prize pool: four keys for four distinct winners, with two keys allocated to each of the above games. Each winner receives one specified Steam PC game key, not cash or a choice of title. Steam activation and availability conditions apply. The organiser has reconciled all four unused, reserved prize keys and has written developer confirmation that these are authorised for UK giveaway recipients. The keys remain confidential and unredeemed for delivery to winners. Review, press-only, beta, demo or developer-use keys will not be substituted. Legitimate commercial Early Access retail keys are eligible only where their Early Access status and the developer’s permission are clearly stated. Other non-horror games are reserved for separate Signal Drops. Any change to this confirmed prize pool must be reflected in the entry page and rules before entries open, and prizes will not be silently reduced after launch.
How to enter
During the announced entry window only, complete the free form on the official Halloween entry page. Entries cannot be submitted outside that window. We will ask only for name, email address, eligibility confirmation and acceptance of these rules/privacy arrangements. The form will reject duplicate email addresses, and additional reasonable anti-abuse checks may be applied. We do not automatically add entrants to a mailing list or ask for Steam passwords. There is no alternative paid route.
Winner selection, notification and delivery
Four different eligible entrants will be selected using a demonstrably random method, with one key each: two winners of EXCISA and two of Graveyard Shift: A Sage’s Last Stand (Early Access). Each eligible entrant has one chance only and may not win more than one prize. The organiser will retain the entry count, ordered entry identifiers, selection method and an auditable record of the results, without exposing entrants publicly. A verifiably random computer process will be used, or the draw will be overseen by an independent observer. If fewer than four eligible entries are received, winners will not be invented. Winners will be contacted by email within seven calendar days after the announced draw date and given seven calendar days to respond to verify eligibility. We may redraw for unclaimed prizes using the same documented method. Steam codes will be delivered privately to verified winners, never displayed in livestream chat or sent to all entrants. We will make reasonable efforts to award the described prizes, ordinarily within 30 days. Regional or account redemption issues will be taken up with the rights holder in good faith.
Winner announcement and privacy choices
To demonstrate that genuine awards took place, the organiser may publish or make available limited winner information (ordinarily surname and county where appropriate), taking account of entrants’ rights and requests. Every entrant may object to disclosure or request reduced information by emailing info@colouredstaticpress.com, including when notified of a win. We will still provide appropriate evidence to the Advertising Standards Authority if required. No full email address, Steam account details or winning key will be public. No other use of a winner’s image or story is required or implied.
Fairness and editorial independence
Developer-supplied giveaway keys are exclusively for community prizes and are not review-access codes. No provider has purchased press coverage, visibility or a favourable review. A prize winner’s selection is independent of viewing behaviour, membership status, social engagement or purchasing activity. The organiser reserves only necessary corrections before the draw opens; once entry begins we will not make arbitrary changes to the closing date, chances or conditions. Serious unavoidable changes will be explained transparently.
Your data
Entry information is used only to administer the draw and maintain a fair record of outcomes. We will use our self-hosted WordPress/Fluent Forms form and related hosting/email services, and not send entry data to a newsletter or marketing audience.
