Indie Spotlight | New Steam Discovery
In Rollgeon, the dice aren’t just deciding your fate. They’re the equipment you bring into battle. Developer 3AM Studio is building a turn-based dungeon roguelike around collecting, customising and combining dice into powerful loadouts.

Roll, reroll and rethink
The game’s Steam description points to the classic dice game Generala as an inspiration. Instead of relying on a fixed set of attacks, players build combinations from their collection, reroll results and look for synergies that can swing a difficult encounter. The idea makes probability something to manipulate rather than simply endure.
Make the odds your own
Dice can be enchanted, and different combinations are intended to support changing strategies across runs. The dungeon format promises repeated attempts in which players experiment with a new build, discover an unexpected interaction and adapt to enemies that do not play fair.
Why it caught our attention
Dice-based combat can be a compelling way to mix planning with surprise. The challenge for Rollgeon will be making each roll feel meaningful while ensuring that smart preparation matters as much as luck. Its early gameplay footage shows a grid-based dungeon and a compact interface for selecting dice abilities.
Steam announcement
The game’s Steam listing is live for wishlisting, with a planned release in 2027. No playable public demo has been verified for this feature.
Editor’s note: This is an early discovery feature based on the official store description and developer footage, not a hands-on review.
