Golf is usually a test of patience. Rogue Links adds something rather less relaxing: monsters between you and your ball.

A shot with consequences

In this top-down action roguelite, the ball becomes your next objective as soon as you tee off. Longer drives may reduce your stroke count, but they also mean more monsters to fight on the way to your landing spot. Reaching the ball creates a temporary protective bubble, buying a moment to prepare the next shot. Take too long aiming and accuracy suffers.

The demo is more than a tutorial

The free demo includes a 27-hole campaign across two acts, The Old Links and the Corrupted Underworld, with a boss encounter every nine holes. Three unlockable tour cards increase the challenge, while the Daily Sprint gives everyone the same nine-hole seed and a single attempt at a global leaderboard.

What comes next

The developer says the full game will add modes including Endless Gauntlet, head-to-head play and a course builder. Those features are not part of the demo. DoorPost Games contacted Coloured Static Press directly to introduce Rogue Links and its Steam Next Fest plans.
