Indie Spotlight | Coloured Static Press

In Tank Mates, two players share a single vehicle, and even driving forwards takes teamwork. The physics-based co-op platformer turns a military obstacle course into a test of coordination, timing and patience.
One tank, two drivers
Rather than handing each player a separate vehicle, Tank Mates splits control of one tank. One player controls its left side and the other its right, so manoeuvring around hazards means working together. The game also supports solo play, local co-op and online co-op.
An obstacle course built to cause chaos
The route includes swinging hammers, lava, minefields, slippery surfaces, turrets and hostile tanks. Checkpoints reduce the frustration of failed attempts, but success still depends on synchronising movement, jumps and attacks.
From developer submission to Steam demo
Arpit Sharma introduced Tank Mates directly to Coloured Static Press and supplied a press-kit link. The Steam page credits Morphionix and lists a downloadable demo, with a planned 6 November 2026 release. This is an advance discovery feature, not a hands-on verdict.
