The machines have won, humanity has disappeared underground and its final hope takes an unusual form: flying robots built around human brains. BIRDBOTS combines that unsettling science-fiction premise with demanding arcade flight.

Learning to fly

Rather than simply steering a spaceship, players flap, dive, brake and roll to navigate hazardous tunnels. The developer describes a system designed to reward precision and practice, with different BirdBots offering distinct handling characteristics.

A campaign that feeds other modes

Story missions introduce territories, hazards and bosses. Unlocking new areas also expands Solo Survivor, multiplayer survival and racing. The Steam listing describes procedural tunnel challenges and races or survival matches for two to six players.

A direct invitation to talk

DogSoul Studios submitted BIRDBOTS directly and confirmed its Steam Next Fest plans, while offering to discuss the game’s development. Steam currently lists a planned 2027 release. The developer describes a demo covering the first territory; availability should be checked on Steam.

Developer: DogSoul Studios. Visit the official Steam page.
