Graveyard Keeper 2 is now available, bringing Lazy Bear Games’ wonderfully macabre management formula back with a bigger role for the Town, expanded automation and an undead army. Publisher tinyBuild released the sequel on 22 September 2026.
From graveyard manager to Grand Inquisitor
Players build and maintain a medieval cemetery, gather resources, develop machinery and turn the resulting production chain into profit. The sequel also puts the Town in the spotlight, with restoration projects and a growing zombie workforce. Beyond the graveyard walls, the Grand Inquisitor can fortify the settlement, craft equipment and lead undead troops against attackers.
A substantial free demo
The official Steam demo, released on 14 September, offers roughly three to four hours of play, from the opening to the introduction of the Town. Its Steam description says progress can carry into the full game. The demo predates the October Steam Next Fest, so this is related indie coverage rather than a claim that the released game is a current festival entrant.
