Indie Spotlight | Coloured Static Press

Football management is already full of difficult personalities and awkward decisions. Slammer Soccer takes the concept behind bars, handing players responsibility for a prison team trying to rise through the ranks.
Recruit from the yard
Players select inmates for their squad, develop their abilities and build a tactical system around their strengths. Match days involve watching play unfold, making substitutions and adjusting tactics as the contest develops.
More than results
Managing a prison football side introduces unusual pressures, from trading inmates to surviving rivalries and making difficult choices about how to improve performance. The hand-drawn presentation leans into the game’s offbeat premise.
A demo before kick-off
The solo developer replied to Coloured Static Press with the project. Steam lists a free demo and a planned 1 December 2026 release, although release schedules can change. This feature is based on the developer’s submission and store information rather than hands-on testing.
