We’re assessing Steam Charts, Xbox Popular Games, Nintendo eShop charts and PlayStation’s monthly downloads. Storefront rankings are not a universal count of players or sales, and sources do not share identical release schedules.
The Current uses pilot methodology v1.0: 55% from the average of Steam UK, global and US weekly revenue ranks, and 45% from the Xbox UK most-played list observed on 14 October 2026. Steam scores use (21 minus source rank) divided by 20 for ranks 1–20; Xbox scores use (31 minus source rank) divided by 30 for ranks 1–30. Entries outside a sampled top 20 or top 30 contribute zero to that source, which does not mean zero sales or players. Eligible source lists exclude hardware, DLC, generic launchers and duplicate editions; official source ranks are not renumbered. This 0–100 index is visibility, not an editorial review score.
